Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, full-time Project Manager with a solid understanding of the marine industry and the self-assurance to take on fresh challenges in shipbuilding and repair. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) & Engineering, the Project Manager will shoulder responsibilities encompassing project planning, scheduling, execution, monitoring/control, and project closure.

1. Collaborate with the Tendering Department to define the project’s scope.
2. Create a comprehensive Project Schedule & Man-loading document for each assigned project.
4. Efficiently manage project resources and associated costs.
5. Track project performance using relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide weekly reports to the Director of Project Management.
7. Identify, prevent, and manage project risks.
8. Ensure the submission of deliverables aligns with stringent quality standards.
9. Undertake any other pertinent, project-related duties as required.
10. Organize and actively participate in client meetings to ensure satisfaction.
12. Facilitate effective communication with all Supervisors to equip them with necessary information and resources for task execution.
14. Oversee the communication and reporting of relevant information to clients.
15. Drive continuous improvement practices within the Project Management Department.
16. Serve as a technical resource for the Project Management Department.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Hold a Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
  2. Possess 3-5 years of construction experience as a project manager, project engineer, or project coordinator.
  3. Candidates meeting or surpassing the aforementioned qualifications will be prioritized, especially those with a minimum of 3 years of experience in marine repair, maintenance, and/or construction.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in reading and comprehending engineered design drawings.
  5. Showcase strong computer skills, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, Word, and Project), CAD, and related tools.
